In July 2011 a tiny group of 4 YCCCers in 2 canoes paddled the uncharted Puvirnituk River across the barrens of North Quebec, beginning their adventure at the spectacular Pingualuit Crater. Please join us for their stories, videos and photographs, and learn a little more about planning and risk management for remote trips.

Augment your basic outdoor survival knowledge by taking the “Survive Outside – A Guide to Outdoor Safety and the Code of Responsibility” program offered by AdventureSmart. This brief presenter-led classroom program is targeted toward novice outdoor enthusiasts, youth groups, and everyone – young and old - interested in learning introductory outdoor survival practices from highly-experienced Search and Rescrue volunteers and AdventureSmart team members.
