Lynette and Lester Head North - Again Only this time it’s waaay north (north of 60) but still on the Ungava peninsula of Nunavik We’ll be flying out of Montreal early July 6 to Kuujjuaq, then Kangiqsujuaq, then Parc Pingualuit, exploring the moonscape around Pingualuit (formerly Chubb) Crater for 3 days, then paddling south for 340km down the Vachon river to the Payne-Arnaud River into Kangirsuk, where we will fly out on August 2nd back to Montreal via Kuujjuaq again. The Vachon will be one of the shortest but steepest descents we have taken to the sea & promises to be a challenge all the way! The Vachon Trip website link below has a bit more information.
This year we will be joined by two trip companions - two experienced guys, Curt & Wes, who we've met before & who seem terrific, strong, and who will be contributing a Sat phone & a gun to our safety net. We'll be "SPOTting" same as last year so anyone can follow our progress online.
