YCCC...............Ottawa's Canoe Camping Club

The activities of the National Capital Region YMCA-YWCA Canoe Camping Club (the “Activities”) are operated as a self-directed social/recreational program as part, and under the authority, of the Ottawa Young Men’s and Young Women’s Christian Association operating as the National Capital Region YMCA-YWCA (the YCCC and the Ottawa Young Men’s and Young Women’s Christian Association collectively referred to herein as the “Ottawa Y”). All individuals participating in the Activities (the “Participants”), are responsible for determining, and participating within, his or her own limits, skill and physical ability, and all Participants are responsible for communicating those limits, skills and physical abilities to the other Participants. I understand, confirm and acknowledge that the Activities are dangerous, and bear certain known and unanticipated risks that could result in injury, illness, disease, death, other physical and mental damage to myself, other Participants and spectators, and could cause loss of, or damage to, property and other damages (collectively, the “Risk”). In consideration of my registration for and participation in the Activities, I hereby assume and accept all responsibility (including, without limitation, all liability) for the Risk. In addition, and without limiting my assumption and acceptance of the Risk, I, on behalf of myself, all members of my family under the age of 18 who are Participants and for my heirs, executors, and administrators, forever waive, release, discharge and indemnify and hold harmless (including without limitation, for legal fees and any other defence costs) the Ottawa Y and, its directors, officers, employees, agents, servants, volunteers and representatives (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions or rights of actions, losses and damages (collectively, the “Claims”) arising from, relating to, or in any way connected to my participation in the Activities, including, without limitation, Claims arising from the performance or failure of the performance of the Activities by the Releasees, (including the negligence or omissions of the Releasees related to the Activities).
