This Season's Trips
Do you want get out there and paddle but don't know where to go? The Y Canoe Camping Club has day and weekend, both flat water and white water, canoe trips going out most weekends. In addition we have short whitewater and flatwater evening trips every week.
Currently we have about 60 flatwater weekend and longer trips scheduled for this year. They go to destinations such as:
- the Mississippi, Tay, French, Gatineau and Oxtongue Rivers;
- Algonquin, Killarney, Temagami, and LaVerendrye Parks; and
- Canoe, Golden, Govan Lakes; and
- Georgian Bay.
As well, most Thursday evenings we take a trip to Meech Lake for a short paddle followed by supper, a swim, and a short paddle back. Wednesday all-day paddles to local destinations start in June.
On the whitewater side, we currently have about 20 trips scheduled. In many cases trips get scheduled on one or two weeks notice, so we will have many more trips than this. The white water trips go to destinations such as the Clyde, Opeongo, Lower Madawaska, Rouge, Dumoine, Petawawa, and Petite Nation Rivers.
Check out the Route Descriptions tab of our website for more details on many of these desintations.
