Lynette and Laco Conquer the Mattawa

Congratulations to Lynette Chubb and Laco Kovac, longtime stalwarts of the YCCC, who won the Mixed Tandem class of the annual North Bay to Mattawa canoe race this past weekend. The race totals 64 km, and includes 10 historic portages. They carried 5 of them, and ran the other 5 in Lynette's Prospector (don't worry, not a club boat!).

The only time I've done the route, I made it a leisurely 3-day float downriver, but Lynette and Laco raced through it in 9 hours and 11 minutes! Any challengers for next year?
