Today, woodworking continues to be important on the commercial front as well as a hobby. Of course, many of these items will not have been handcrafted. Instead, they are manufactured by companies in large facilities that contain machines that do the woodworking for us. As always when it comes to industrialized products, we gain in terms of lower cost but tend to lose some of the craftsmanship that goes into these pieces.
